The terms and conditions that apply when you use AllSpokenLang as a customer or as an interpreter/translator on our panel.
Last updated: 1 January 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of AllSpokenLang's website, mobile experience and interpreting/translation marketplace (the "Service"), operated by AllSpokenLang ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, booking a session, or applying to join our interpreter and translator panel, you agree to these Terms.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract to create an account. Interpreters and translators applying to join our panel must provide accurate identity, qualification and right-to-work information, and consent to the verification checks described in the application form (including police and Working with Children checks where relevant to the category of work).
You're responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us straight away if you suspect unauthorised use of your account. We may suspend or close accounts that provide false information, breach these Terms, or misuse the Service.
Customers can request an on-demand phone interpreter, or book a video or on-site session in advance. Once a session is confirmed, both the customer and the assigned interpreter or translator are expected to attend at the agreed time. Rates shown at the time of booking apply to that session unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Panel members provide interpreting and translation services as independent contractors, not as employees of AllSpokenLang. You're responsible for your own tax, superannuation and insurance obligations. We may review your account status, availability, and any documents you've provided from time to time, and may suspend a profile pending review if a concern is raised about conduct, qualifications or documentation.
Customers are charged for completed sessions and confirmed document translations at the rate shown at booking. AllSpokenLang retains a commission on each completed job, with the balance paid out to the interpreter or translator on our standard payout schedule. Refunds and disputed charges are handled case-by-case — see our Contact us page or raise a dispute from your dashboard if something doesn't look right.
Everyone using the Service is expected to communicate professionally and respectfully. We don't tolerate harassment, discrimination, or requests for services outside the scope of interpreting and translation. We may remove content, cancel a booking, or suspend an account in response to a breach of this section.
Interpreters and translators must treat everything discussed or written during a session as confidential, consistent with the professional code of ethics referenced during panel applications (including AUSIT's Code of Ethics where applicable). Call and message content is encrypted in transit and retained only as long as reasonably necessary for service quality and dispute resolution.
AllSpokenLang facilitates connections between customers and independent interpreters/translators. While we vet panel members and monitor quality, we can't guarantee the accuracy of every interpretation or translation, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from a session, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll let registered users know via the app or by email before the changes take effect.
